"After the hurricane comes a rainbow"

I have so much to write about in regards to these past couple weeks.

I'm still just trying to process everything because so much has happened.

I will be back on soon to share more pictures, updates and stories about what its like staying here at Walter Reed.

But I just wanted everyone to know G.I. Joe is back in America and working towards recovering.

He's loved getting to spend lots of time with family,
and the President even visited him and other wounded warriors in the hospital!!

But meeting this little guy topped that for sure!

Awe so glad to hear that he is back and on his way to recovery. Stinks he couldn't have met his little one under different circumstances, but such is the life.

I have never met you, and you have no idea who I am. I came across your blog one day just surfing blogs. (Random, by far!) I have since checked back to read your blog since that day sometime last year. My father is retired military, and military families have a close spot in my heart. Anyhow, often God brings you to mind and I’ll pray for you, your children, and “GI Joe”. I know the life you live, before and even more so now, is difficult. And as cliché as it may sound, I am very grateful for you, your husband and your families sacrifice. There is no real monetary rewards for the price you all pay for our nation, but regardless if we realize it or not, we have so much to be thankful for when it comes to those like your husband and family who play a huge part in making our freedom and safety, and that of others, possible. Thank you for your personal commitment to your husband, your children, and that massive part you play in the big picture as well.

I will continue to pray for complete healing for your husband as well.
