Have Pull Up, Will Travel

*If you haven't entered the "Light Up Your Child's Mind" giveaway yet you only have one day left! I'll be posting my review of the book and posting the winners tomorrow!

Ever since Lucy started crawling diaper changes have become next to impossible. She was constantly flipping over and crawling away mid-change. That's one thing at home but makes diaper changes outside of our house a wrestling match. A few weeks ago I just decided to switch things up. We started trying other types of diapers and have fallen hard for pull ups. I had not expected to switch to a training pant this soon but it works! Almost all of Lucy's changes can be done standing up! Sweet relief! She is also loving that she feels like a big girl in these and not like a baby. We had to switch to Pampers to do this because the Seventh Generation ones didn't come in a small enough size. I will miss those. They're the best disposables ever; they have no chemicals or perfumes added and Lucy never got one single diaper rash. But its time for a new stage now. Here is a comparison picture of the 7th Generation newborn size that Lucy started in and the size three she last wore. The newborn one is only as long as my hand but it was still big on her!

As many of you have realized from reading this blog I like to do a photo shoot with Lucy every month with a different flowered head band. Well, I'm having major problems with her 11 month pictures for two reasons: 1, she won't keep anything on her head longer than a nanosecond, 2, she won't sit still longer than that either! So this is the best I've got so far. I think they really represent this stage she's in!

"How did I let you get away with this for the past 10 months?"

"Mommy, I quit!"

"Seriously, Mommy! I'm ready to play!"

Oh, and I also wanted to thank all my new followers for joining us! We're over 100 followers and 110 posts! I knew I was capable of talking this much, G.I. Joe can "amen" that but I'm still surprised when people tune in. Thanks for reading!

Oh gosh I feel you on the diaper change struggles. Moose is nearly impossible to change. The worst is when he poopy and wants to SIT DOWN instead of lay or stand.

My daughter was just as uncooperative for her 11 month pic! I wanted to do the pic in the same chair each month, but for her 11 month shot she is standing up and trying to crawl off!

Haha...yep Lucy likes to "sit and squish" in hers sometimes too! Its times like that I pray someone else is in the house to just hold her in the air while I clean her!

Annie~I'm glad we're not the only ones to experience that! I'm hoping the 12 month pics won't be quite as difficult...but I'm not holding my breath!

Lucy is a cutie patootie!
Wait until next month it gets even harder to get them to sit still.
PS: THanks for stopping by my blog and saying hi! I am now following you. Keep in touch.

I have the same problem with Dax. It's funny at first, because he's running around naked and so excited with himself. That's a great idea about the pull-ups. I'm going to have to try it! I love the 11 mos. So cute. Especially if you were to look at all her monthly pics in sequence.
